Amalthea is all about capturing the essence of each of our couples. Aside from producing wonderful photographs, we excel at capturing blink of an eye moments. Our priority is to make the process of being photographed as easy and enjoyable for you, as possible.
We seize each unique day as it unfolds, without distractions as we accommodate only one wedding per day.
As artists, we have a personal and unique vision about each and every single detail, that complements our work as a whole. We oversee every aspect of the technical part of photography and postproduction, which allows our creativity to flow!

Why I chose this field of wedding photography? It’s simple. Given the opportunity to capture moments of love is something my heart yearns. The first spark aroused me when I held a book filled with beautiful photographs that stroked my sentiments; a blend of curiosity and the sight of the magnificent images, made me fall in love with Photography. Why wedding photography? Well, a curious pageboy found his happy place at weddings – air filled with nothing but celebration and love created a mark on my heart.
Though my first love was wedding photography, my life story led me to be a medical doctor, but it was not long when I realized that my passion lies in capturing beautiful moments, making it my life goal not only to be recognized as Doctor Anju Jayaweera Bandara but also as Anju, the Wedding Photographer.
